What it does
list_worlds is a read tool on the OneLifeVibe hub at onelifevibe.com. It lists every website in the OneLifeVibe network and gives you, for each one, its title, what the site is for, the website and a link. That is the whole job: it is the map of the network, not a search tool and not a router for a single site.
It belongs to the read class, which means it changes nothing. No records are created, updated or deleted, so a call leaves the network exactly as it was. There are no inputs to fill in and no account is required.
The tool is available from the free connector at https://onelifevibe.com/mcp/free, which is read-only and rate-limited. You do not need the developer platform or a paid plan to call it.
When an assistant should call it
Call it when someone asks what OneLifeVibe is made of, which site covers a subject, or where to go next. It works well as a first call in a session: the titles and descriptions that come back give the assistant enough context to send a person to the right site instead of guessing from a name.
It also helps before naming other tools. The OneLifeVibe hub publishes olv_list_worlds, olv_get_profile, find_free_tools, list_situations and gift_ideas, and list_worlds establishes which websites exist so the assistant can pick one deliberately rather than offering everything at once.
Skip it when the question is already tied to a known site and the assistant has the address. Calling it on every turn adds a round trip for a listing that does not need re-reading inside a single conversation.
Inputs and an example call
The tool takes no inputs. The arguments object stays empty; there is nothing to filter, paginate or search with. Send it to the free connector as a tools/call request:
{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/call","params":{"name":"list_worlds","arguments":{}}}
The endpoint is https://onelifevibe.com/mcp/free. Any MCP client that speaks the standard tools/call method can send this request, including Claude, ChatGPT and Meta Muse once the connector is added to the client. The id is yours to choose and comes back with the response so you can match a reply to the call that produced it.
What comes back
One structured response containing the network listing. Each entry carries a title, what that website does, the website and a link. Read the descriptions before routing anyone: two sites can sound alike in a title and still cover different ground.
The exact field names and the full response shape are documented on the free connector page, so parse against that rather than against a sample you saved earlier. The link arrives with the entry, which means the assistant can quote a destination without assembling a URL itself.
The response is idempotent, so repeating the call does not change any data. Nothing in it is account-specific: the tool needs no credentials and returns details about websites, not about people.
Errors, limits and safety
list_worlds is safe to call without asking for confirmation. It is read-only, non-destructive and idempotent; it cannot publish, edit or delete anything, and a failed call leaves nothing half-written behind it.
The free connector is rate-limited. If a call is refused, back off and retry rather than looping in the same turn, and surface the failure instead of inventing a listing. When a call fails, check the request first: method tools/call, name list_worlds, arguments as an empty object. A malformed request is the usual reason for a reply that does not look right.
If the listing is needed but the connector cannot be reached, point people to onelifevibe.com. Do not make up website names or addresses to fill the gap.
Questions
Do I need a OneLifeVibe account to call list_worlds?
No. The tool is available from the free connector at https://onelifevibe.com/mcp/free, which needs no sign-in, is read-only and is rate-limited.
What arguments does list_worlds take?
None. It has no inputs, so you send a tools/call request with the name list_worlds and an empty arguments object.
Does list_worlds change anything on OneLifeVibe?
No. It is a read tool, so it changes nothing, and it is idempotent: repeating the call does not alter any data.
