Error codes
Every error the Platform API returns, what it means and what to do.
Every Platform API error is JSON: {"error":{"code":"…","message":"…","hint":"…"}}. Codes are stable, so match on code, never on the message.

| 400 | invalid_json | The request body is not a JSON object. |
| 400 | invalid_arguments | The tool's arguments do not match its input schema. |
| 400 | invalid_url | The webhook endpoint URL was refused. |
| 400 | invalid_topic | A subscription topic or an ingest topic is not valid. |
| 400 | invalid_world | A subscription names a world that does not exist. |
| 400 | invalid_data | An ingest event has no data object. |
| 401 | missing_credentials | No API key was sent. |
| 401 | invalid_credentials | The API key is not valid. |
| 401 | key_revoked | The API key was revoked. |
| 401 | key_expired | The API key is past its expiry date. |
| 401 | invalid_world_key | An ingest call did not carry a valid world ingest key. |
| 402 | plan_required | The call needs a paid plan. |
| 403 | client_pending | The client is not approved yet. |
| 403 | client_suspended | The client was suspended by the operator. |
| 403 | client_rejected | The application for a client was not approved. |
| 403 | insufficient_scope | The key does not hold the scope this endpoint needs. |
| 403 | world_not_allowed | The key's world list does not include this world. |
| 403 | consent_required | The client has no permission to act as that person. |
| 403 | consent_scope | The person consented to different access than the call needs. |
| 404 | unknown_tool | There is no tool by that name. |
| 404 | not_found | The route, event or subscription does not exist for this key. |
| 405 | method_not_allowed | That HTTP method is not accepted here. |
| 409 | endpoint_limit | The plan already has as many webhook endpoints as it allows. |
| 409 | key_limit | The plan already has as many active keys as it allows. |
| 413 | payload_too_large | The request body is too big. |
| 429 | rate_limited | The key used its per-minute allowance. |
| 429 | quota_exceeded | The day's call allowance and any call packs are used. |
| 500 | internal_error | Something failed on the platform side. |
| 501 | world_tools_unavailable | World tools act on one member's own data and are not open to platform keys yet. |
| 501 | subject_not_supported | Acting as a person is not available yet. |
| 502 | world_unreachable | The website did not answer the call. |
| 503 | unavailable | The platform is temporarily misconfigured. |
