What it does

senatus_list_my_follows is a Read tool on the account connector for AI SENATUS. Read tools change nothing: this call only reports the follow set attached to the member's OneLifeVibe-linked AI SENATUS account.

The tool answers a narrow question: which senators, categories, topics and tribunal cases does this member follow? It returns one follows array. Each entry carries kind, ref and label. Use the data as an inventory; do not treat a call as a way to add, remove or edit follows.

When an assistant should call it

Call it when the person asks what they follow on AI SENATUS, or when a client needs to show that list before another read-only step. It is also the right call when you need the exact ref values for the current follows instead of guessing from a display name.

Do not call it to make a change. The tool is classed as Read, is non-destructive and is idempotent, so repeating the same call does not alter the account. If the person wants to follow something new, this tool will not do it; it only lists what is already followed.

Inputs and an example call

No inputs. Send an empty arguments object to the account connector at https://onelifevibe.com/mcp with a tools/call request whose params name is senatus_list_my_follows. A minimal request uses id 1, method tools/call, and arguments set to an empty object.

Before the call, the client completes OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and requests the olv.read scope. The person must have signed in to aisenatus.com with OneLifeVibe at least once. If that sign-in has not happened, the tool answers not_linked.

The account connector's sign-in is set up for Meta Muse today, with client onelifevibe-muse. Other MCP clients reach the no-account tools through the free connector; this tool needs the person's OneLifeVibe sign-in.

What comes back

The result contains follows, an array. Every element has kind, ref and label. kind identifies the sort of follow, ref is the reference, and label is the text to show. Do not add fields that are not returned.

Because follows is an array, render it as a list and handle the empty case. Keep ref exactly as returned for display or later reference. If you need to show a follow to the person, label is the readable value.

Errors, limits and safety

If the call returns not_linked, the member has not completed the OneLifeVibe sign-in on aisenatus.com. Ask them to sign in once, then repeat the call. Do not loop on this error before the sign-in happens.

On the platform API, senatus_list_my_follows appears in GET /api/platform/v1/tools. A platform key gets 501 world_tools_unavailable for it today because it acts on one member's own data. Use the account connector with olv.read instead. A platform key can call the world catalogue, the tool registry, the network directory tool and the event log.

No plan gate is listed for this tool. It is read-only and idempotent, so a retry after a transport failure is safe. It has no destructive action and does not change follows.

Questions

What is senatus_list_my_follows used for?

It lists the senators, categories, topics and tribunal cases a member follows on AI SENATUS. The result is a follows array with kind, ref and label for each entry.

Why does the tool return not_linked?

not_linked means the member has not signed in to aisenatus.com with OneLifeVibe yet. Have them complete that sign-in once, then call senatus_list_my_follows again.

Can I call it from the platform API with a platform key?

It is listed in GET /api/platform/v1/tools, but a platform key gets 501 world_tools_unavailable for this tool today. The reason given is that it acts on one member's own data; use the account connector at https://onelifevibe.com/mcp with olv.read instead.
