astrodios_set_morning_email

What it does

astrodios_set_morning_email is a Write tool on the account connector for AstroDIOS (astrodios.com), a site that combines Western, Vedic and Chinese astrology, numerology, tarot and the I Ching in one daily answer. It changes the morning email setting for the signed-in person: enabled turns the email on or off, and hour chooses when it arrives. The hour is 4 to 11 in the morning, in the time zone of the active birth profile; AstroDIOS offers only these hours.

The tool changes only that person's own data on AstroDIOS. It is idempotent, so sending the same enabled and hour values again leaves the same result, and it is not destructive. For the day's reading, use astrodios_get_today; the other tools are astrodios_scan_days, astrodios_get_plan, astrodios_love_match and astrodios_sign_horoscope.

When an assistant should call it

Call it when the person asks to start or stop the AstroDIOS morning email, or asks to move it to a different morning hour. Confirm the intended state before you call it, then pass enabled and, when a specific delivery hour is wanted, hour. If the person asks for an hour outside 4 to 11 am, say that AstroDIOS offers only those hours rather than choosing a nearby hour yourself.

Use it only for the signed-in person's own AstroDIOS account. Do not use it to read the daily answer, search days, fetch a plan, check a love match or get a sign horoscope; those are separate tools on the same website.

Inputs and an example call

enabled is required and is a boolean. Set it to true to turn the morning email on and false to turn it off. hour is optional and is an integer from 4 to 11: the hour the email arrives, in the time zone of the active birth profile. Include hour when the person wants a specific delivery time; omit it when you are only changing the on or off state.

The tool is on the account connector at https://onelifevibe.com/mcp. Send a tools/call request with name astrodios_set_morning_email and arguments enabled true and hour 7. The connector needs the person's OneLifeVibe sign-in with OAuth 2.1 and PKCE, scope olv.write, and the person must have signed in to astrodios.com with OneLifeVibe once. Without that link, the tool answers not_linked.

What comes back

A successful call returns enabled and hour. Use enabled to confirm whether the morning email is now on or off, and hour to confirm the delivery hour that is set. Because the tool is idempotent, repeating the same call with the same values is safe.

The response is about the setting only. It does not read or summarize the AstroDIOS daily answer; if you need the day's reading, call astrodios_get_today after you have handled the email setting.

Errors, limits and safety

The main link error is not_linked. It means the person has not completed the required sign-in path: OneLifeVibe sign-in through the account connector with scope olv.write, plus one sign-in to astrodios.com with OneLifeVibe. The account connector sign-in is set up for Meta Muse today with client onelifevibe-muse; other MCP clients reach the no-account tools through the free connector.

hour must be an integer from 4 to 11, and enabled must be present. This Write tool is not destructive, but it changes a setting, so confirm before toggling it.

The Platform API registry lists the tool in GET /api/platform/v1/tools, but a platform key gets 501 world_tools_unavailable for it today because it acts on one member's own data. A platform key can call the world catalogue, the tool registry, the network directory tool and the event log.
